ALISO VIEJO, CA - Telogis, Inc. acquired the assets of Maptuit, a provider of connected navigation for commercial fleets. Telogis stated that this acquisition expands Telogis’ services as the market increases adoption of location-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.

Telogis said it will integrate Maptuit’s technologies directly into its enterprise platform, which will expand the Telogis customer base by more than 100,000 subscribers.

The enhancements to the Telogis platform from this acquisition include an advanced location-based service engine that can receive feedback from the field on road conditions and physical restrictions that commercial and open-source map data may not capture, according to the company. Maptuit’s technologies also allow companies to specify “known-good” routes and yard-approaches.

Maptuit’s commercial navigation technology will enhance Telogis’ enterprise platform of Saas solutions, including fleet management, navigation, multi-vehicle route optimization and planning, work order management and mobile integration, Telogis stated.
