Industry partners attended a special reception marking the official launch of the Global Fleet Management Conference and the strategic partnership between Bobit Business Media and Nexus Communication.

The centerpiece of the Bobit-Nexus partnership is the inaugural Global Fleet Management Conference, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Phoenix, Ariz. The introductory registration price has been announced at $595, and, as a special bonus attendees will receive free admission to the third day (Oct. 2) of the Green Fleet Conference with content geared toward multinational fleets.

“The Global Fleet Management Conference is a significant first step in the partnership, and we have some exciting and unique ideas to make it an important part of the global fleet community’s knowledge tool box,” said Mike Antich, editor of Automotive Fleet and conference co-chair.

To assist in developing the content for the conference, Bobit and Nexus have assembled U.S. and European Global Fleet Advisory Boards consisting of fleet managers who manage the fleet operations for major international corporations (see the facing page for the complete listings for each board).

Coinciding with the inaugural Global Fleet Management Conference will be the launch of the digital and print publication of the first-ever Global Fleet Management Directory, which will include country-by-country breakdowns of current fleet market conditions and a directory of the major automakers and FMCs in each country market.

Both companies have also increased their international Web presence to further reach their global fleet audiences.

“Our goal with the partnership is to help fleet managers throughout the world to do their work more efficiently by providing them with knowledge and information,” said Caroline Thonnon, partner Nexus Communication, business development and global fleet leader.
