Audi of America Holds 2013-MY Fleet Preview

Six years after Audi created a corporate fleet program, its fleet sales hit record levels in model-years 2011 and 2012.

Audi of America held its 2013 Product Preview June 7-8 in Sonoma, Calif. Since creating a fleet program in 2006, Audi has focused its sales efforts on fleets with executive, managerial, and senior sales drivers, which was reflected in the 17 fleet professionals from commercial fleets and fleet management companies who attended the preview.

The fleet preview included a ride-and-drive through Sonoma Valley and performance testing of Audi models at the Infineon Raceway. Professional Audi drivers provided walkaround demonstrations of the new models.

In related news, Audi announced on June 25 Tony Trapalis was named corporate sales manager for Audi of America. Previously, he was senior manager at Mercedes-Benz Hellas, the Mercede-Benz sales organization in Greece. Trapalis succeeds Kevin Horner, who has been named manager, field operations for Audi of America. Horner had been corporate sales manager since 2008.
