WASHINGTON – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Mercedes-Benz is recalling 665 MY-2002 and 2003 Dodge 2500 and 3500 and Freightliner 2500 and 3500 Sprinter vans.

The automaker made the recall due to potentially corroded intake manifolds due to a chemical reaction from the sulfur in the diesel fuel that can create sulfuric acid. Dealers will inspect and replace the manifolds free of charge.
