DETROIT – General Motors has recalled 7,593 2011-MY Chevrolet Express 1500 and GMC Savana 1500 vans for failing to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard No. 135, which mandates brake hose clearance standards.

The National Highway Safety Transportation Administration (NHTSA) said the vehicles in this recall may have been built with a clearance condition wherein the right brake hose may contact the tire or wheel rim, potentially resulting in a hole in the hose. Dealers will secure the right rear brake hose to ensure sufficient clearance. The safety recall is No. 11126.
