Wheels, Inc., a leader in the automotive fleet management and services industry, was presented with two American Business Awards for Sales & Customer Service on March 4.

Wheels' newly revamped online management tool, FleetView, was awarded a Bronze "Stevie" award in the Innovation in Customer Service category; while the company's new internal roadside assistance follow-up process received a Bronze Stevie in the Contact Center Solution category.

The new FleetView is unlike any other online management platform in the fleet management industry. It provides Wheels' clients with a host of innovative tools and features that make it easier for users to judge their fleet's performance, identify opportunities for optimization and take effective action.

"Wheels has always been committed to providing our clients with the most innovative customer-facing online tools in the automotive fleet management industry," said Gail Wheeler, vice president of marketing and product management at Wheels. "We are proud that our commitment was recognized and honored at this year's Stevie Awards."

Another innovation Wheels rolled out in 2015 was an enhancement to its internal roadside service follow-up process. The new solution was built to address "contingency" circumstances – for example, occasions when dispatched tow providers are unable to arrive at the driver's location within expected timeframes due to inclement weather – and entails a refined escalation process that is triggered by the driver's phone call.

"We are pleased to see that since the implementation of the new protocols, client and driver escalations related to poor roadside service experiences have declined dramatically," said Jill D'Silva, director of driver services at Wheels. "And it is wonderful to know that our efforts in keeping drivers safe and productive on the road were acknowledged by the American Business Award judges."

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world's top sales, business development, contact center, and customer service awards. More than 2,100 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year's competition. Final judging was performed by a select committee of more than 60 executives from businesses across the country.

"Entries to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service continue to grow every year, further validating the essential roles that business development, customer service, and sales play in business success," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "The widespread support of this program made the 2016 competition that much more intense among finalists. The judges were deeply impressed by the winner's accomplishments and we congratulate all of the winners on their commitment to excellence and innovation."

The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on March 4 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. More than 500 executives from the U.S.A. and several other nations attended.
