ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, was named as a finalist in the Tech Innovation of the Year category by the 2013 American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards honor the achievements of organizations and business people worldwide. The Tech Innovation of the Year category recognizes notable innovations in technology and new products that have revolutionized the marketplace. Winners will be announced at a banquet in San Francisco, California on Monday, September 16.

ARI was chosen as a finalist for its integrated telematics solution that offers a normalized database and integration with multiple telematics vendors and devices. This allows fleet managers to access all of the information their fleet may generate from a single platform, which allows for a more complete and holistic view of business operations. ARI’s ability to integrate with any supplier – as well as multiple suppliers – simplifies both the collection of telematics vehicle data allowing for more comprehensive reporting capabilities and the compilation of billing data allowing for streamlined invoice processing. This innovative solution creates efficiencies and helps ARI’s clients run their fleets more cost-effectively.

“ARI is actively engaged with over 60 companies that provide telematics and mobility solutions, allowing our technology advisors to work with clients to recommend the best solution, or utilize their existing solutions to align with their business goals,” commented ARI’s Vice President of Product Development Tony Candeloro. “Because this unique solution allows clients to further leverage their telematics data, it increases the return on their investment.”

In 2012, ARI won a bronze medal in the same category for its implementation of in-memory technology to deliver real-time analytics on high volumes of data. “The ongoing recognition ARI has received for innovation and advanced technology reflects our commitment to research and development that produces valuable tools for our customers,” said Candeloro.

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members organized into nine specialized judging committees will determine the Stevie Award winners during the final judging period, which is scheduled to take place May 13 – 24.
