In Memoriam: Jack Oliver, 1927-2011

TYRONE, GA – Jack Oliver, retired general manager of Beaudry Ford Inc., passed away Aug. 13, 2011. He was 84. Oliver joined Beaudry Ford Inc. in Atlanta in 1951, where he worked for 50 years, until the dealership ceased business operations on Dec. 31, 2001. During his tenure at Beaudry Ford, Oliver helped turn the dealership into one of the top fleet dealers in the U.S.

Oliver was very active in the fleet industry and served as president of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) from 1979-1980.
Oliver was a graduate from the University of Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
