Volt Technology to be Used in Other GM Models

DETROIT – General Motors is exploring other models to apply the Chevrolet Volt's hybrid-electric technology. Based on the similarities between the vehicles' architecture, GM executives noted the Orlando could be a possible candidate for the system; however, the company has not made any announcements to do so just yet.

At the recent North American International Auto Show, GM announced its plans to build the seven-seat Orlando in the United States for 2011.
