Qualcomm Appoints New Senior VP and Division President of Qualcomm Enterprise Services

SAN DIEGO– Qualcomm Incorporated, a developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, has appointed Robert Walton as senior vice president and division president of Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES). In his new role, Walton will lead the division's business operations and provide strategic guidance in exploring new market opportunities for the group, which offers wireless solutions for a variety of enterprises, from vehicle and equipment telematics to mobile device management and machine-to-machine communications. Walton succeeds Joan Waltman, who has taken on executive responsibilities in commercializing research and development.

Walton brings more than 25 years experience in technology and services businesses to the position. He joined Qualcomm Enterprise Services in May 2007 as the division's vice president of product management and marketing. Previously, Walton held leadership and advisory roles with Compaq Computer, PIXAR Animation Studios, NeXT Computer, and Northern Telecom Electronics (now Nortel Networks).
