Green Automotive Co. (GAC) has invested in Viridian Motor Corp. in a partnership to produce small electric trucks in the U.S., the company announced earlier this month.

Riverside, Calif.,-based GAC has acquired 21.63 percent of Viridian, a Virginia EV manufacturer, the company announced Jan. 9. GAC's divisions include Liberty Electric Cars Ltd., Newport Coachworks, Inc., and GoinGreen Ltd.

GAC, which sells electric trucks in Europe, is also readying an all-electric shuttle bus for the East Coast.
