PHH Arval has expanded access to compressed natural gas for its fleet clients under a new agreement with VNG.CO, a Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based CNG fueling network.

PHH light-duty fleet vehicles operating on natural gas will now be able to fill up at VNG's natural gas fueling stations across the nation. VNG stations are typically co-located at traditional gasoline stations.

"Working with VNG positions us to provide enhanced alternative fuel solutions for our clients," said Bob Sandler, PHH Arval's vice president of enterprise consulting and analytics. "In addition, by targeting high-traffic areas of the fleets we manage, we can work with VNG to provide compressed natural gas fueling where it's most needed."

Natural gas vehicles (NGVs) typically help fleets save 40% on fuel costs and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 25%, according to PHH Arval.

"Our relationship with PHH will allow light-duty fleet operators to transition to NGVs with confidence that accessible, convenient and high-quality CNG fueling facilities will be available," said Robert Friedman, VNG's chief operating officer.
