Non-profit group City CarShare has launched a new car-sharing program designed for businesses in the Bay Area called DASH. The organization launched the program as a three-year pilot, located at the Hacienda business park in Pleasanton, Calif., wherein DASH will offer short-distance transportation options for use by employers for business purposes, and for carpool, vanpool, and public transportation options that company employees use to commute.

City CarShare partnered with Toyota and plans to offer a total of 30 Scion iQ EVs at charging stations in and around Hacienda. The Scion iQ EVs are designed for short commutes as the vehicles have a 40-mile range in ideal driving conditions, according to the organization.
