The 2013 Jetta Hybrid gets 45 mpg combined, according to Volkwsagen.

HERNDON, VA – Volkswagen announced that seven of its models get more than 40 mpg on the highway, including its Jetta Hybrid, which VW said gets 48 highway, 42 city, and 45 combined mpg.

The other models in VW’s lineup are its TDI models, the manual-transmission-equipped Beetle TDI; the Beetle Convertible TDI (also manual); the Golf TDI (both the manual and automatic versions); the Jetta TDI (also both manual and automatic models); the Jetta SportWagen TDI (only the manual model); and the manual and automatic versions of the Passat TDI.

The Jetta Hybrid will go on sale at the end of the year, priced at $24,995. It comes with a four-cylinder 1.4L turbocharged, direct-injection TSI engine that’s connected to an electric motor and a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. VW said the powertrain gets 170 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque.
