LOS ANGELES – BMW announced it plans to sell its upcoming i3 and i8 in 2013 and 2014, respectively. The automaker plans to show its i8 Concept Roadster at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday, Nov. 28, along with its new i Concept vehicle. The automaker debuted its new i-brand vehicles in New York.

Beyond its new i-brand models, BMW plans to bring a custom BMW X1 designed for the ski season and its newly updated BMW 7 Series.

The automaker said its new 7 Series will come with a range of new features, including stop/start technology, regenerative braking, and a driver selectable “eco” driving mode. It also features available LED headlights on the outside. On the inside, the vehicle features a newly redesigned navigation system, which offers faster rendering and 3D maps, and a new version of i Drive with a new menu structure and voice command capabilities.
