Fire Destroys Pa. Biodiesel Plant

NEW OXFORD, PA - Fire destroyed the Soy Energy biodiesel plant on Dec. 11. Firefighters battled the blaze for 10 hours, and authorities are now investigating the fire's cause, the Associated Press reported.

The facility was closed when the fire was first reported. No serious injuries were reported.

The plant, which first opened in February 2007, was capable of producing 2.5 million gallons of biodiesel per year.
