E-mail Hoax Offers Fusion Hybrids for $15,500

May 18, 2009

DEARBORN, MI --- According to an e-mail that's circulating, Ford Motor Co. is offering a special program to sell 500 2010 Fusion Hybrids for $15,500 each. Not surprisingly, the offer is not legitimate and the e-mail is a hoax, the automaker confirms.

Also, the sales manager listed in the e-mail is not even a company employee, Ford said.

The real MSRP for a 2010 Fusion Hybrid starts at $27,270.
