CLEBURNE, TX --- Beacon Energy Holdings, a biodiesel producer and marketer based in Cranford, NJ, has cut the work force at its plant in Cleburne, TX 30 percent because of lower biodiesel demand.

The company said the facility will cut back on production but continue to "make sales in the ordinary course of its existing customer base and to initiate new sales efforts with potential customers."

Beacon Energy Holdings' biodiesel efforts are centered around the use and processing of lower-grade feedstocks, primarily animal fats such as beef tallow, choice white grease and poultry fat.
