ORLANDO, FL – CHEP USA, a pallet and container pooling solutions company, has launched a new program that provides financial incentives for employees who purchase hybrid cars and trucks. Staff members will receive $2,000 for the purchase of the environmentally-friendly vehicles as an element of the company's continuing effort to be a leader in environmental stewardship and social accountability, according to www.businesswire.com.

The $2,000 incentive is payable over two years for new vehicles purchased on or after Jan. 1, 2008, and classified as a hybrid by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Internal Revenue Service. Any full- and part-time CHEP employee with at least one-year tenure is eligible.

CHEP USA is also dedicating fundraising money to the Rainforest Alliance, an organization dedicated to key CHEP values surrounding the responsible and sustainable use of natural resources. The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices, and consumer behavior.
