TomTom Telematics Replaces TomTom Business Solutions

April 02, 2014 - Press Release

TomTom has renamed its fleet management and telematics services unit as TomTom Telematics. It had previously been known as TomTom Business Solutions.

The new name "reflects its strong position in providing telematics software as a Software as a Service (SaaS)," according to a release.

TomTom's lead product Webfleet helps businesses improve vehicle performance, save fuel, support drivers and increase overall fleet efficiency, according to the company. The telematics platform can be incorporated with a range of software and hardware.

"The fleet management market is expanding rapidly," said Thomas Schmidt, managing director of TomTom Telematics. "We are focused on maintaining our strong growth in this sector through innovation and the development of strategic partnerships. Webfleet will continue to help companies achieve higher standards of efficiency, customer service, and corporate responsibility."
