Mobileye Launches eCommerce Website for U.S. Market

October 03, 2013

Mobileye has launched an eCommerce website for the U.S. market. The new website includes details on the company's products (Mobile 550 and Mobileye 550), and features a page specifically for fleet safety technology.

According to the company, having a large number of drivers constantly on the road constitutes many risks. Mobileye collision avoidance systems monitor the road ahead and provide your drivers with lifesaving warnings.

Mobileye has been implemented in many of the world's largest fleets such as ICEE, UPS, Dart Transit, Coca-Cola, Abbott Pharmaceuticals, Veolia, CR England, DHL and Kon.

Mobileye was founded in 1999 by Professor Amnon Shashua and Mr. Ziv Aviram, with the goal of eliminating road accidents. Mobileye has invested over a decade in R&D and has gained an unparalleled know-how and expertise, making it the global pioneer in developing and marketing advanced Collision Avoidance Systems.

In 2012, Mobileye celebrated the deployment of its one Millionth Chip (System). Today, over 2.5 million drivers are using Mobileye to drive safely to their destinations. Mobileye technology has been adopted by leading car manufacturers such as Ford, Chrysler, GM, BMW, Volvo & Toyota. Mobileye has offices in the Netherlands, the United States, Japan, China, Germany and Cyprus.

Mobileye development center, located in Jerusalem, Israel, is the world’s largest artificial vision development center employing over 300 research and development professionals.

Distracted Driving is the leading cause of road accidents. Based on statistics by the National Highway Safety Traffic Association (NHTSA) in 2011 over 3,000 people were killed in distracted related accidents. Mobileye Technology is designed to assist drivers by alerting them to possible threats in fractions of a second giving them time to react.
