Toyota unveiled a new Yaris to the South African market that has increased the size of the previous model and offers more interior space.

The new Yaris is approximately seven inches longer and includes an increased storage space, bumping up by approximately one cubic foot, according to IOL. The new Yaris features an all-new design, reminiscent of the larger Toyota Auris.

The Yaris features 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, utilising dual VVT-i and a DOHC 16-valve layout, according to Toyota. The engine delivers approximately 105 hp and 103 lb.-ft. of torque.  It is mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT continuously variable transmission.

It is available in four trim grades including Xi, Xs, Cross and Sport.
