Pricing for the China Chevrolet Cruze Hatch was announced on Feb. 7, according to General Motors. Five trims with a choice of 1.4T or 1.5L engines are available for a price range between RMB 109,900 and RMB 169,900.

Cruze is Chevrolet’s best-selling nameplate worldwide, with 4.4 million sold since the first generation’s launch in 2008. It is also a key member of Chevrolet’s lineup in China, with nearly 1.7 million delivered since it initially went on sale in 2009.

The Cruze Hatch offers the design, engineering and technological advances of the 2016 Cruze sedan in a functional, sporty package with up to 1,189 liters of cargo space.

The new model maintains the Cruze sedan's classic powertrain combinations. It adopts a 1.4T top-mounted SIDI engine as well as a 1.5L top-mounted SIDI engine. The powerplants are paired with a choice of an intelligent seven-speed dual clutch gearbox (DCG) transmission with the start/stop function, an all-new six-speed Dynamic Start/Stop Shift (DSS) transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The Cruze Hatch delivers efficient output and combined fuel economy of 5.7 L/100 km.

Chevrolet's new-generation MyLink intelligent infotainment system and OnStar's new-generation Smart Driver, as well as 4G LTE in-car Wi-Fi, combine to form the intelligent “nerve center” of the all-new Cruze Hatch. The technology monitors vehicle conditions for ultimate safety while enabling occupants to maintain real-time connectivity with the outside world.

The Cruze Hatch comes with a range of advanced safety technologies, such as Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) and Automatic Park Assist (APA). They are accompanied by the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), reverse radar, cruise control and an electronic handbrake.

The Cruze Hatch is one of the more than 20 new or refreshed products that Chevrolet will introduce in China by the end of 2020.
