PSA Group has obtained authorization from the French government to carry out autonomous mode experimentations with “non-experts” drivers on roads in France, according to the automaker.

The tests are a significant move forward for the development of the autonomous car technology for PSA Group, according to the French automaker

The demonstrators with the “non-experts” drivers will be granted to travel on about 2,000 kilometres of French express roads.

Since July 2015, PSA prototypes driven by experts drivers have already done 120,000 kilometres on European express roads.
