“Canadian fleet operators have a wide selection of vehicles from which to choose,” said Vincentric President David Wurster. “When making fleet purchasing decisions, it’s important to identify which vehicles offer lowest cost of ownership. Our detailed data and awards help Canadian organizations make smart, informed decisions when it comes to acquiring fleet vehicles.”
To determine the 2016 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada awards, Vincentric performed a cost of ownership analysis of over 2,500 vehicle configurations based on typical use in commercial fleet. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 10 provinces, using 24 different lifecycle cost scenarios and eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs. Winners were identified by determining which vehicles had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios for its segment.
