Malaysian Packaged Gas Fleet Implements Routing, Scheduling Software
Linde Malaysia has become the latest organization within The Linde Group to deploy Paragon Software Systems, Inc.’s routing and scheduling software, further optimizing its expanding cylinder business’ distribution operations in Peninsular Malaysia, and, at the same time, contributing to Linde Malaysia’s operational priorities in transport safety and customer service standards.
The company leverages the logistics planning software to better coordinate its fleet of rigid trucks operating from 6 locations, for more than 5,000 monthly deliveries of a wide range of packaged gases and chemicals, according to Paragon.
Linde will use the multi-drop route planning software to create highly-efficient schedules. Paragon’s Route Execution module will integrate the routing and scheduling software with the real-time live data feed from Linde’s certified In-Vehicle Management System (IVMS) provided by Astrata Group, a global telematics business.
This will enable complete visibility of how resources are progressing in real-time against the day’s plan, so Linde can monitor the distribution operation and ensure deliveries are on time. As a result, the company will be able to keep customers up-to-date on the status of their deliveries, as well as to measure performance, ensure safety and compliance, and identify areas of improvement, according to Paragon.
