Ford Motor Company has announced changes in its senior leadership team in New Zealand.
Corey Holter, managing director, Ford New Zealand has been appointed manager, Car Group Marketing, Ford North America. Succeeding Holter will be Simon Rutherford.

Succeeding Holter is Simon Rutherford, currently manager Global Order to Delivery and Dealer Connectivity, Marketing Sales & Service. Rutherford will report to Graeme Whickman, president and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand and be responsible for leading Ford’s national sales companies in New Zealand.

Rutherford brings a wealth of global operations, product and dealer engagement experience from his 23-year Ford career in a variety of marketing and sales positions in The Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. He first joined Ford in 1992. His first role in Ford was working as a sales promotion specialist in Ford U.K. He then completed a number of dealer facing field roles and brand management roles, including a three-year secondment as general sales manager at the Brunel Ford group in Bristol U.K., according to the automaker.

Rutherford moved to Asia Pacific in 2006 to oversee regional Fleet operations based out of Thailand. He then moved to Shanghai where he led a number of important One Ford global initiatives, including key sales programming and vehicle ordering roles for Asia Pacific during the launch of Ford’s China growth, according to the automaker.

This work led to his current role in Dearborn, Mich. where he is responsible for transforming the way the company and dealers manage vehicles orders globally while managing dealer connectivity initiatives to enhance the consumer experience, according to the automaker.
