Kia Motors will show off a concept utility vehicle equipped with electric all-wheel drive at the Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 12, the automaker has announced.

Kia is calling the system e-AWD, and describes it as a "bold off-roader" designed in California. It's begun marketing the vehicle to "city dwellers seeking the ultimate urban escape. Intended to enable a wide array of outdoor activities from skiing and snowboarding, to camping, hiking and mountain biking."

The vehicle, which will be called the Trail'ster concept, will be revealed at 9 a.m. local time on Feb. 12. The show runs from Feb. 14-22 at McCormick Place.
