FleetAfrica’s Commercial Director, Obed Nhlapo’s has been appointed as the new vice president of the South African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA).

Founded in the 1970s, SAVRALA represents South Africa’s combined vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management industries, and is designed to steer industry standards, serving to raise the professional profile of the collective industries, according to the Association.

Nhlapo was appointed for a contract period of 12 months. His role will involve protecting the interest of the industry players/members in countries where they are represented throughout sub-Saharan Africa, according to the Association. As part of his role, Nhlapo will also ensure that the highest standard of service is provided to all of SAVRALA’s clientele both in short-term rentals and leasing industry as well as forging stronger ties with all SAVRALA stakeholders, including the government.
