Translogik has begun an iTrack trial at the Minera Escondida mine, Chile.

Translogik provides a range of hardware and software solutions for asset management and tracking, data collection, and fleet management. The product portfolio includes wireless tread depth, pressure and temperature data collection tools for truck and off-the-road (OTR) vehicle tyre inspections, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags, patches and UHF readers for tyres and general asset tracking.

Located in the Atacama Desert, the Minera Escondida mine is the largest producing open-pit copper mine in the world. In 2007 production value was estimated at US$10.12 billion, representing approximately 10 percent of total world copper output, according to Translogik.

The trial is being managed by Otraco Chile, Translogik’s regional partner.
