Nissan will begin testing of an electric version of its NV200 commercial vehicle this month (July, 2011). The automaker said the Japan Post Service Co. will be testing the vehicle.

Nissan will be providing one test vehicle for postal collection and delivery tasks for two months in the city of Yokohama to evaluate the vehicle’s capabilities. The company said it plans to conduct similar tests on this vehicle in Japan and Europe. The company has not yet announced any sales plans for this vehicle.
