New-Vehicle Fuel Economy Remains at 25.3

The May value is up 5.2 mpg since October 2007, the first month of monitoring by UMTRI. This value is 0.2 mpg below the peak of 25.5 mpg from August 2014.

Gasoline Prices Increase to $2.58

The national average rice of gasoline increased 1 cent to $2.38, two cents more than prices both a month and a year ago. AAA reported that a moderate dip in gasoline prices are normal following long holiday weekends, and prices in 30 states have fallen as much as four cents.
