Gasoline's national average price fell 6.6 cents to $3.294 per gallon for the week ending Oct. 28, marking the seventh decline in eight weeks, according to federal data.

Meanwhile, diesel fell 1.6 cents to to $3.87 per gallon, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Gasoline is now 27.4 cents lower than it was in the same week a year ago. It has fallen 31.4 cents in the past two months.

Each week, the U.S. Energy Information Administration surveys about 400 diesel filling station and 800 gasoline stations to compile national average prices.
