Miami to Host Ethanol Conference Nov. 12-13

MIAMI --- The 2nd Americas Sugar Trade and Ethanol Conference is set for Nov. 12-13 at the Radisson Hotel Miami. The Center for Management Technology is sponsoring the event. The conference will address all the newest trends in the economics, technology and geopolitics of the sugar and ethanol industries, organizers said. Scheduled speakers include Frank Jenkins, president of the Jenkins Sugar Group, who will discuss NAFTA 2008 and the impact of market integration on the sugar trade. Research chemist Bill Widmer will address ethanol production using citrus processing waste. A panel discussion will focus on consolidating the U.S. ethanol industry.
