Major Car Rental Firm in Germany Adds CNG Cars to Fleet

FRANKFURT, Germany --- The Sixt car rental company has begun offering its customers the option of renting VW EcoFuel Tourans that run on compressed natural gas (CNG). Sixt has added 1,000 of the cars to its fleet. The company made the announcement at the IAA car show in Frankfurt. The CNG Tourans are available at 28 Sixt branches throughout Germany. VW has sold more than 3,500 of the CNG Tourans since the car's April 2006 launch.
