LONDON, United Kingdom --- For the first time, a hybrid car, the Toyota Prius, has emerged as the highest-ranking model in satisfying new car owners in the United Kingdom, according to a new study from J.D. Power and Associates and What Car? magazine. In the study, the Prius tied with the Lexus IS for the top ranking among models included in the study. The Prius received 868 index points on a 1,000-point scale and earned particularly high ratings in ownership costs. The 2007 UK Car Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Study was based on evaluations from more than 18,000 U.K. car owners after an average of two years of ownership.
