TORRANCE, CA – Toyota Motor Sales USA said it is offering up to $2,000 in incentives on the Prius in this month, according to the Web site www.edmunds.com. The hybrid-power 2007 Prius has a base price of $22,795, including a $620 destination charge.
Prius buyers will get discounts on options packages that can range from $600 to $2,000, except on the base and Package #1 (HE) models. Each package includes vehicle stability control, a backup camera, the Smart Key system, and an audio system with MPC capability and an auxiliary port.
Toyota began offering mild financing and leasing incentives on the Prius in February and March, resulting in what it calls “robust sales increases of 86.8 percent and 133.2 percent respectively over the previous year.”
