Kansas State University Receives Ethanol Research Grant

MANHATTAN, Kansas --- Kansas State University has won a $700,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to study ways to produce ethanol.The research project will address how to make different types of vegetation, including switchgrass, more conducive to ethanol production, according to a report from KTEN News. The project is in conjunction with the Noble Foundation in Oklahoma as part of a $5.7 million federal program.
