Delphi Corp. announced that it is in strong support of increased diesel engine use in the U.S. and is a sponsor of the eighth annual Diesel Engine Emissions Reduction (DEER) conference, Aug. 25-29, in Coronado, CA. The event is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Representatives from academia, government, private research institutions, diesel engine manufacturers, and fuel delivery and emission treatment suppliers, including Delphi, will spend the week discussing advancements in diesel engine technology and the health and environmental impacts of using diesel internal combustion engines in vehicles. Delphi said that it will display diesel fuel injection and aftertreatment technologies and present technical papers covering non-thermal plasma technology and diesel NOx adsorbers catalyst performance.
