Fleet FAQ? Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Q. Is the OBD-II port occupied or does the telematics device allow for maintenance diagnostics machines to plug in without needing to unhook the device?

April 6, 2017, by Todd Ewing

A. No, Fleetmatics tracking devices are not plugged into the OBD-II port, making them tamper proof and allowing maintenance technicians access to the OBD-II port without the need to remove the device.
