Adrian Steel Announces New ADseries Van Shelving

ADRIAN, MI – Adrian Steel Company has announced the addition of the new ADseries van shelving. The ADseries is the next generation of cargo management solutions, engineered to optimize work van storage and accessibility. Featuring ADjustable shelves that can easily be moved as needed, an ADaptable rail system allows shelving to be repositioned in the van without having to re-drill holes. ADvanced stamped steel end panels provide strength and are designed to accommodate the diverse range of cargo needed to get the job done.

The ADseries shelving end panels feature a 6-inch knock out to provide 48 inches of floor space to accommodate sheet goods. The contoured end panels provide 36 inches between the panels from the top to bottom, maximizing aisle space.

Exclusive to the ADseries, the unique rail system enables shelves to be repositioned in the van, increasing the available space for trade specific equipment. This can be done without removing bolts, plugging holes, and re-drilling the van.

Plug and Play shelves have pre-punched holes that allow adding storage solutions easily. ADseries dividers simply snap in place, drawer units simply bolt in, and door kits can be added to lock more valuable parts and equipment. Many Adrian Steel accessories can be added to the ADseries shelving with the rail adapter kits and end panel brackets.

With just a screwdriver, the ADseries shelf can be moved by simply removing the front shelf bolts.  Shelves can be adjusted in one-inch increments and provide a flexible shelving solution. The ADseries shelf units are 46 inches high by 14 deep and come in lengths of 32, 44, and 50 inches wide. The rear shelf studs ensure the stability of the ADseries components, while allowing for quick and easy set-up and installation.

Migration to 4-Cylinder Engines Continues with 2010-MY Ordering

By Mike Antich
The ongoing volatility of gasoline prices has prompted a growing number of fleets to transition to four-cylinder engines. This transition started in the 2008-MY and accelerated with 2009-MY ordering, when gas prices surpassed $4 per gallon in the summer of 2008. Early indications are that the migration to four-cylinder engines will continue with 2010-MY ordering. We have already seen glimpses of this trend in the 2010 RFPs submitted to major OEMs.
