HOUSTON --- Gasoline prices dropped a penny overnight to a national average of $1.835 a gallon for self-serve regular, according to data from the American Automobile Association, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express.
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- For the tenth week in a row, average gasoline prices fell in all regions of the country and for the first time since March 7, 2005, the U.S. average price for regular gasoline fell below $2 a gallon.
CAIRO, Egypt --- OPEC has postponed a decision on whether to cut production again this year, Bloomberg reported. OPEC will take any "additional action" needed to stabilize the market at a summit in Oran, Algeria, on Dec. 17.

NEW YORK --- American International Group, the insurance giant bailed out by the government, will remove AIG from the name of a U.S. auto insurance unit and cut 6.6 percent of jobs there to better attract a buyer for the operation, the Washington Post reported.
