Mobile Mechanic Position Wanted - New York Region

POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE: Dover, NJ - Mt. Kisco, NY, - Valley Forge/Aston, PA

DESCRIPTION: Immediate opening for an experienced Class A Mechanic. Qualified individual will possess experience with mid-size P30 trucks. Proven quality record and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain our diesel and gasoline powered fleet.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Able to safely lift 75-100 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on/under trucks for an entire shift (8-10 hrs.)
  • ASC, DOT Certification and/or CDL licenses are preferred but not required
  • Ability to diagnose engine issues
  • Capable of following oral and written instructions
  • Accurately charge parts and labor to work orders
  • Flexible toward some travel to other shops in the region to cover vacation, holiday, training, etc.

Rising Commodity Prices Threaten to Increase Truck Prices

The high cost of raw materials, in addition to the high cost of fuel, is starting to make a financial impact on fleets by increasing costs for truck chassis, bodies, trailers, liftgates, and other upfit equipment. On July 9, Navistar announced that rising commodity costs have forced the company to increase prices of International truck models. Is this another in a series of commodity-related price increases that we will see from other OEMs, upfitters, and trailer manufacturers?

Bleak New-Vehicle Sales to Usher a Strong Used-Vehicle Market

Today's new-vehicle market will generate (ultimately) the used-vehicle market of tomorrow. If there is a decrease in new-vehicle sales, there will be a corresponding decrease in the future number of used vehicles in the marketplace.
