Toyota to Change Its Safety Recall Process

WASHINGTON - During Congressional testimony Wednesday, Feb. 24, Toyota President Akio Toyoda apologized to the U.S. and American Toyota vehicle owners for any company safety lapses and vowed to change the way the company responds to customer complaints about vehicle safety in the future.

NHTSA Launches Probe into Timeliness of Toyota Recalls

WASHINGTON - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Feb. 16 that it is using its statutory authority to obtain documents from Toyota to determine whether the automaker conducted three of its recent recalls in a timely manner.

Toyota Recalls 8,000 MY 2010 Tacoma Trucks

TORRANCE, CA - Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. announced it will conduct a voluntary safety recall to inspect the front drive shaft on a small production run of certain MY 2010 Tacoma 4WD trucks.
