DEARBORN, MI – Ford Motor Company said it does not expect "any major disruptions to [its] operations" as a result of the June 1 announcement of General Motors Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, according to a company statement following the announcement.

"The Ford team continues to monitor the industry environment and plan for all contingencies to ensure our transformation plan remains on track," the automaker said in the statement. Ford maintains it does not expect to use "emergency taxpayer assistance" from the U.S. government.

The company recently outlined its strategy to 300 fleet industry professionals at its Southern California regional fleet preview and at eight other regional previews across the country.
