LeasePlan Holds Green Summit for Global Fleet and Corporate Social Responsibility Managers

OAK BROOK, IL – LeasePlan recently held a Green Summit for global fleet and corporate social responsibility managers at the McDonald's campus in Oak Brook, Ill. The half-day workshop focused on the challenges and successes of companies looking to "green" their corporate fleets.

Popular discussion topics included the calculation of carbon footprints and options for reducing and offsetting carbon emissions. Vehicle selections were examined, including alternative-fuel vehicles, hybrids, diesels and four-cylinder models, and driver behaviors were analyzed. Best practices from across the globe were also presented.

Attendees of the event represented some of the largest fleets in the United States and around the world. LeasePlan manages more than 1.3 million vehicles worldwide and is a global leader in addressing the issue of vehicle emissions and global warming through their GreenPlan program.
