GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO - The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) has been working with OEMs to write the telematics data standard, which will allow delivery of basic telematics data to end-user databases. Participating OEMs could begin supporting delivery of data using the standard format by October 2010.

Click here to view the standard.

Developed in conjunction with McFadyen & Associates, Caterpillar, Trimble, John Deere, Volvo Construction Equipment , and Komatsu, the standard provides basic machine data, such as cumulative operating hours, cumulative miles traveled (for vehicles), cumulative fuel consumed (where supported), and current location in a common xml document.

More information about the AEMP telematics data standard is available at www.aemp.org.
